Data centers & critical power

Data center & battery backup control panels

We design and build UL 508A control, monitoring, and power-distribution panels for data centers, critical power, and battery backup systems, and integrate them with the listed switchgear, transfer switches, UPS, and energy storage equipment on your site. One US-based team for engineering, build, and support.

Power switching & distribution

Power switching & distribution panels we build

The control, monitoring, and auxiliary distribution panels that sit around your power equipment and tell it what to do and what’s happening.

Transfer & source-switching control panels

Control logic, mode selection (manual / auto), and status and alarm indication for utility-to-generator transfer, built around a listed automatic transfer switch or motor-operated breakers in listed switchgear.

Generator & paralleling control and monitoring

Panels for generator start/stop signals, load add and load shed sequencing, and status monitoring, interfacing with the switchgear and the paralleling controllers that ship with it.

Control power & auxiliary distribution panels

Fused or breaker distribution for controls and auxiliaries, control power transformers, redundant 24 VDC supplies, and surge protection, with SCCR calculated and marked on the nameplate.

Load bank control panels

Control panels for connecting and stepping load banks during generator and UPS testing, with interlocks to the source equipment and clear operator indication.

Mechanical & cooling controls

PLC and VFD panels for CRAH/CRAC units, chillers, pumps, and fans, plus interfaces for leak detection and environmental sensors. Wireless temperature, humidity, and leak sensing can be added with LoRaWAN.

EPMS, BMS & DCIM integration panels

Power meters, PLCs and remote I/O, and gateways (Modbus TCP, BACnet, SNMP) that bring breaker, generator, UPS, and cooling status into your EPMS, BMS, or DCIM, with alarming that names the device and the condition.

EPO & interlock interface panels

Emergency power off and interlock interface panels that collect pushbuttons, relays, and signals and hand them off to the listed equipment that actually opens the power circuits.

Battery & backup

Battery & industrial backup systems

The batteries, UPS units, and inverters are separately listed equipment. We build the UL 508A panels and controls around them and integrate everything into one monitored system.

BESS & UPS battery integration

Control and monitoring panels that interface with the battery management system (BMS) of a listed battery or energy storage system, bringing state, alarms, and trips into your PLC or SCADA.

Thermal, ventilation & safety signals

HVAC and ventilation controls for battery rooms and enclosures, plus hand-off of gas or off-gas detection and fire alarm interface signals to the systems that act on them.

AC & DC auxiliary distribution

Auxiliary distribution panels for controls, monitoring, HVAC, and lighting around battery and UPS systems, built to UL 508A with SCCR calculated and marked.

Monitoring & remote alarming

PLC, SCADA, and gateway panels for battery, UPS, and generator status, with remote alarming so problems reach the right people quickly.

Industrial backup for plants

Critical-load transfer controls, generator start and load-shed logic, and monitoring for manufacturing and process sites that need to ride through a utility outage.

Scope

What UL 508A covers here

In plain language: UL 508A is the standard for industrial control panels: control, monitoring, and motor and load control circuits, with a short-circuit current rating (SCCR) marked on the panel. It is not the standard for the large power equipment itself. Low-voltage switchgear (UL 1558), switchboards (UL 891), panelboards (UL 67), transfer switches (UL 1008), UPS units (UL 1778), inverters (UL 1741), battery systems (UL 1973), and energy storage systems (UL 9540, with UL 9540A fire testing) each have their own standards and listings. We build UL 508A labeled control and distribution panels that run, monitor, and switch around that equipment, and we integrate them with the listed switchgear, ATS, UPS, and BESS on your site.

Uptime

Built for uptime

  • Redundant control power

Dual-fed or redundant 24 VDC control power where it matters, so one failed supply doesn’t take down monitoring or control.

  • Documented drawings

Schematics, I/O lists, and network and point lists that match what’s installed, kept current through commissioning.

  • FAT before shipping

Panels are tested in our shop before they ship, so less is discovered on site.

  • Clear alarming

Alarms that name the equipment and the condition, sent to the EPMS, BMS, or SCADA your operators already watch.

  • Planned cutovers into live sites

Work in energized, operating facilities is planned step by step around your maintenance windows and change control.
